Professional men...

So, I went to an event last week and met some exciting black professional men and women (there were a few other ethnicities in attendance as well). For those of you who don't know or who haven't dated in a minute, I will tell you that in NYC, it's always refreshing to go to an event that's not too thuggish and not too pretensious....very hard to find nowadays. So, some of the men were from DC. It's always interesting to meet men from out of town because they usually offer to buy you drinks (not that I care..but it's nice every now and then) So, this guy, let's call him Chris, starts talking to me and then when he realized that he wouldn't be coming back to my apt, he starts hitting on this other young woman, good looking and with a British accent. Guys are real suckers for an accent, aren't they?? Anyway, at some point, a group of us go to another spot and another guy, let's call him George, starts to chat with me and it turns out that George is in his late 30's (yeah right), divorced and has 4 kids. Are you kidding me?? It's amazing the stories and drama that is out there. So, at the end of the night, both guys go running after the British woman and her friend, hoping that they would have a blissful night.
Personally, I took the C train back to Brooklyn....that kind of drama, I do not need at all!! :)
